Optoma DS-GWII9092E 92-Inch Motorized Projector Screen Review

I purchased this screen to replace another less expensive brand that broke after 3 years of use.Unfortunately first impressions are not good:
1) The stop limits do not appear to be user adjustable so you need to stop the screen on the way down at exactly the right point manually.I'll find out more once I have the replacement screen (see item 3)
2)the remote trigger circuit is poorly documented.Which doesn't matter since I can;t adjust the stop limits...
3) The second time I lowered the screen it has broken, the screen will extend and stop but will not retract.A replacement is on the way.
4) The relatively high gain of this screen (1.8) means the viewing angle is narrow not only horizontally but also vertically,The screen is clearer and brighter if slightly below eye height - not a natural position especially for ceiling mounted projectors.

Overall: -1 stars.IT could go to 2+ if the replacement holds up and the stop limit can be set.

Update: The second one had a defective remote control receiver. I managed to get the first one running again. The sensor switch which detects the screen is fully retracted (this also stuck on the replacement unit).

Update: I'll still give this a "not recommended rating" based mainly on the non-user adjustable stop limit. I have to recommend the Elite Screen in this price class even though mine lasted only two years before the motor broke and Elite didn't have a replacement motor available and never made good on offering a discounted refurbished unit.
